The Village is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.

¡Viva! Festival returns on Sept. 28

Fun for the entire family awaits at Oak Park’s second annual ¡Viva! Festival planned for noon to 3 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 28. The outdoor celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month is set to take place rain or shine on the south lawn at Village Hall, 123 Madison St., and will feature food, entertainment, activities for kids and much more. A large tent will be in place for watching the live performances in case it rains.

Hispanic Heritage Month in Oak Park
  • The Oak Park Public Library is hosting several events to highlight Hispanic Heritage Month including conversation hours, Loteria Night (Sept. 24) and ¡A Bombear se ha Dicho! (an Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba experience on Oct. 12).
