Green Tuesday Environmental Lecture Series

The Environment & Energy Commission has partnered with local organizations to present the ninth annual Green Tuesday environmental lecture series scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. each Tuesday in April at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St.

Presenter: Skyler Larrimore, Local Organizer, Elevate Energy
This presentation will focus on residential waste diversion rates being achieved from recycling and composting programs and the environmental benefits that can be measured. The new Green Block Party project will be unveiled as the discussion will turn to how Oak Park can increase program participation through school programs, new recycling initiatives and public education opportunities.

Skyler Larrimore will present on how Elevate Energy (formerly CNT Energy) is connecting Oak Park homeowners to resources that will lower energy costs and boost the comfort and value of their home. Elevate Energy is a nonprofit that designs and implements energy efficiency programs that lower cost, protect the environment, and ensure the benefits of energy efficiency reach those who need them most.
