The Environment & Energy Commission has partnered with local organizations to present the ninth annual Green Tuesday environmental lecture series scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. each Tuesday in April at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St.
Like Green Tuesdays of the past, the 2014 series will focus on current unique local environmental challenges. As the world’s population migrates to cities, and as the reality of climate change becomes increasingly clear, the need to create sustainable communities is more important than ever. Green Tuesdays in the Village will seek to do just that locally by aligning with the 2014 Earth Day global theme of Green Cities.
