A disposal box is available in the lobby of the Police Department at Village Hall, 123 Madison St. for residents to safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs. Needles or other medical waste are not accepted.
Safe disposal of drugs is becoming increasingly important, as trace residues of some medications can turn up in the water supply when prescription drugs are flushed.
