Key box ensures access in an emergency

Property owners who want to guarantee first responders have access to their homes and businesses in an emergency are invited to participate in the Oak Park Fire Department’s key box security program. Working with industry leader Knox, the Fire Department maintains a master key to access the entry key stored securely inside the box. Officials say the cost of the key box generally is less than replacing a door that may have had to be forced to gain access in emergency.
