Arab American Heritage Month Celebration

The entire community is invited to the Village's Arab American Heirtage Month Celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 27 at Village Hall in the courtyard and Room 101.

The event will highlight the rich culture, traditions, and contributions of the Arab American community through a variety of activities, including: 

  • Cultural Artifacts Exhibit – A display showcasing historical and traditional artifacts that reflect the heritage and history of Arab cultures.
  • Traditional Music – Live performances featuring authentic Arabic music, creating an immersive and festive atmosphere.
  • Local Vendors – Community members and businesses will share cultural goods, crafts and information.
  • Kids Activities – Engaging and educational activities for children to learn more about Arab culture in a fun and interactive way.
  • Cultural Food – A selection of traditional dishes will be available, allowing attendees to experience the flavors of Arab cuisine.
  • Dancing – Traditional dance performances will be featured, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive dance session.
  • Henna Art – Skilled artists will offer beautiful and intricate henna designs for attendees.
  • Calligraphy Station – A chance to experience the beauty of Arabic calligraphy, where guests can have their names or meaningful words written in traditional script.
