The Village of Oak Park, the Community Mental Health Board, the River Forest Township and Thrive Counseling Center invite you to “Safe Storage Saves Lives” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16 at the Community Recreation Center, 229 Madison St.
Learn from presentations from Everytown Gun Safety and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office about how safe storage practices can help prevent people from harming themselves and others, and how firearm restraining orders have been used in Illinois to save lives. Speakers will be available to answer your questions.
This free educational event aims to empower community members with practical knowledge and legal tools to help prevent injuries and save lives.
