Lobby available to finalize online transactions

The lobby of the Oak Park Police Station is available to the public for in-person meetings and face-to-face transactions. Police officials encourage residents to make use of the lobby, which is open, well-lit and staffed 24 hours a day. The reminder comes with the growing number of crimes committed by perpetrators who arranged meetings with their victims through online forums. The police station is always available as a safe venue for finalizing transactions or conducting exchanges, and has been used for parental custody exchanges for years. The lobby is located on the lower level of Village Hall, 123 Madison St. 

Prescription drug disposal

Safe disposal of drugs is increasingly important, as trace residues of some medications can turn up in the water supply when prescription drugs are flushed down a drain or toilet. Residents can safely dispose of expired and unwanted prescription medicines in the lobby of the Police Department on the lower level at Village Hall, 123 Madison St.
