Friday, June 28, 2019  ::   The many dimensions of Oak Park will be on display when the annual July 4th parade steps off at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 from Longfellow Park at Ridgeland Avenue and Adams Street. Parade participants march north on Ridgeland Avenue to Augusta Street.

Friday, June 14, 2019  ::   Oak Park Police are investigating a shooting that was reported at about 3:30 p.m. today in the 6100 block of North Avenue. The 21-year old victim, a resident of Chicago, said he was sitting in his car at the Shell service station when a man walked up and shot into the vehicle.
Wednesday, June 12, 2019  ::   Two individuals and one local non-profit organizations have been honored with the Dr. William Fitzsimmons Public Health Award for contributions to the health and well-being of Oak Parkers.
Tuesday, June 11, 2019  ::   A 56-year-old Oak Park man died early this morning from injuries sustained when he was struck by a vehicle on Ridgeland Avenue just north of Garfield Street shortly before 9 p.m., last night.
