Annual report available – Oak Park Township accomplishments and finances for April 1, 2012 – March 31, 2013 are available for citizen review at www.oakparktownship.org. Highlights for the year include:
Innovation award – The Township Officials of Illinois awarded its 2013 Innovative Senior Program Award to Oak Park Township for the book SPREAD, an intergenerational effort to preserve the memories and stories of seniors gathered at the Townships’ daily lunch program. Created under the guidance of DePaul College Professor Jim Duignan and students from Oak Park and River Forest High School, interviews were transcribed into an anthology of stories.
