Oak Parkers interested in how Cook County government manages tax dollars and services are invited to a presentation and panel discussion sponsored by the Oak Park River Forest League of Women Voters.
Entitled Why Cook County Matters, the event is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 19 in the Oak Park-River Forest Room of the Koehneke Community Center at Concordia University in River Forest. A member of the League Board will set the tone with a presentation about the challenges the county faces and topics voters should consider, while a panel of Cook County Commissioners will field questions from the audience.
