This is a meeting of members of the Oak Park community coalition interested in promoting safe bicycling in the Village. The meeting will be chaired by Dr. Ravi-Grivois Shah, Board of Health Commissioner. The October 1 coalition meeting will focus primarily on the Oak Park Board of Health's recommendation to the Village Board to mandate the wearing of bike helmets for youth under the age of 17. The Board of Health is scheduled to present the recommendation to the Village Board at their meeting on Monday, October 7. This meeting of the bike advocacy coalition is open to all.
