The public is invited to drop off expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for safe collection and disposal. Items can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Police Station, 123 Madison St., lower level. The event is part of an initiative by the Drug Enforcement Administration to prevent pill abuse and theft. Disposal is free and no questions will be asked. Liquids, needles or other sharp objects are prohibited.
Prescription drug disposal is also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at disposal bin in the Police Station.
