Oak Park residents are invited to learn about participating in the state’s prepaid college tuition plan at an information session set for 6 to 7 p.m., Thurs., March 24, at the main Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St.
Representatives of College Illinois!, the state’s program based on Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code designed to help families save for college, will be on hand to talk about the program and answer questions. Savings can be used for tuition, books and other education-related expenses at most accredited two- and four-year colleges and universities, U.S. vocational-technical schools and eligible foreign institutions.
