Enjoy fresh-picked corn from market growers sold by the ear hot off the roaster from about 9 a.m. to noon at the Farmers' Market's annual Corn Roast. Be sure to bring cash as credit cards are not accepted when purchasing roasted corn, which will be sold for $2 per ear. Snapchat users will also be able to show their love for the Market by using a special Corn Roast filter.
The Oak Park Farmers' Market offers high quality, locally grown produce in the friendly, historic Village of Oak Park. The market is held in the Pilgrim Church Parking lot at 460 Lake St., just one block west of Ridgeland Avenue. Market hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from opening day through October.
Special event: Ms. Clara's Mini Musicians is scheduled to host music classes for kids with instruments focusing on farm, food and animal songs.
