Feb. 4, 2018 – Oak Park Police are investigating the armed robbery of a couple reported at about 7:30 p.m., last night on Jackson Boulevard near Carpenter Street.
The victims, a 47-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man, told Police they were walking east on Jackson Boulevard when they were approached from behind by two men. One displayed a handgun and demanded money.
A wallet containing $80 was handed over and the offenders fled on foot west on Jackson.
No injuries were reported.
Both suspects were described as thin, African American men wearing dark clothing. One suspect was believed to be between 5-feet, 8-inches and 5-feet-10 inches tall, the other, between 5-feet, 6-inches and 5-feet, 8-inches tall.
