May 8, 2023 -- The Village of Oak Park, in partnership with Passport Parking, has launched a new custom mobile application, ParkOakPark, that aims to centralize various parking services, including mobile pay-by-license-plate parking, permit and vehicle license sales, and parking citation payment and management.
“With the ParkOakPark app, we can empower our users with more payment choices for parking and the ability to access other various parking services,” said Sean Keane, Parking & Mobility Services Manager for the Village of Oak Park. “Passport’s technology allows our community to have more flexibility in the parking experience and enables us to access parking insights and data so we can operate more efficiently.”
While Oak Parkers and visitors will begin to see custom ParkOakPark signage rolled out across the community this month, parkers who are familiar with the existing Passport Parking app may continue to also utilize that app for pay-by-license-plate sessions. While the current Passport Parking mobile app is not going away, it will not offer the additional services related to permits, licenses and citation management available via ParkOakPark.
The new ParkOakPark app is now available for free download from the App Store, Google Play or on the web at parkoakpark.org.
