Dec. 12, 2024 - The Village continues to remember and honor Oak Park Police Detective Allan Reddins, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on Nov. 29.
The funeral service for Det. Reddins is taking place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12 at Apostolic Church of God, 6320 S. Dorchester Ave. in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood. The service will also be streamed live - click here to view.
Many in-person services will be unavailable at Village Hall this Thursday, Dec. 12 to accommodate a large group of Village employees attending funeral services for Det. Allan Reddins.
While Village Hall will be open during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and previously-scheduled appointments - including adjudication services - will be honored, in-person services related to parking, permits and the cashier’s office will largely be unavailable.
Anyone planning to walk in to Village Hall for assistance is encouraged to delay their visit until Friday.
Services will continue to be available online at www.oak-park.us/onlineservices, and the Village’s call center at 708.358.5700 will operate like usual from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
